ApplicationXtender (AppEnhancer) migration for Major Texas Pediatric Hospital

Data Strategies Interchange (DSI) is pleased to announce the successful completion of an ApplicationXtender Extraction for a Major Texas Pediatric Hospital.

The Legacy archive ApplicationXtender, a content management system by OpenText is currently rebranded as AppEnhancer.

Some high lights of the project:

• • DSI assisted the client and Hyland with extracting 230 GB of ApplicationXtender data that was stored on Nutanix AOS (Acropolis OS).

• • The archive consisted more than 5 million documents of TIFF, BMP, MS office documents, emails and PDF files.

• • DSI did the discovery of the legacy system & gave various reports of the existing documents.

• • Using the results from this discovery, in collaboration with the client, many documents were decided to be filtered out, thereby reducing the amount of data to be migrated.

• • Content was still being added to the legacy system during conversion. The final migration was done over a weekend of Go-Live.

• • The migration process was executed through remote access on customer-provided Windows servers.

Our document migration process is performed offline without API, allowing better performance than online migrations and without hindrance to daily activities.
