Data Strategies Interchange today reported on the successful completion of Oracle Stellent IBPM migration to OpenText Content Server.
The customer, a major regional bank, had been using Stellent’s IBPM document management system for archiving a variety of scanned images and PDF documents related to its retail banking operations. The legacy system was hosted on a Windows server and used an EMC Centera device for document archival.
Data Strategies worked closely with OpenText to define the specification for the delivery of documents and metadata in a format suitable for ingestion into OpenText’s Content Server platform.
The Oracle Stellent IBPM migration was performed remotely on customer supplied workstations using Data Strategies’ proven off-line document migration platform in Houston, TX. Offline migration is a process where DSI performs the migration optimized for best performance independent of end client’s hardware and without hindrance to their daily activities.
Using our ContentsGenie tool, some 32 million objects with a combined size of 1.3 TByte were extracted from the Centera cluster. In the next processing phase, non-image documents where extracted from the compressed objects. Single page images were combined into multi-page document files, as defined by the legacy database.
