Mobius ViewDirect Extraction for a major Insurance Company

Data Strategies Interchange (DSI) is pleased to announce another successful completion of a Mobius ViewDirect Extraction for a major Insurance Company.

DSI assisted this client with extracting 13+ million PDF, Linedata and Xerox Metacode documents with close to 5 TB of data from Mobius/Rocket Software ViewDirect MVS.

The migration solution partner ingested these extracted documents to Filenet. The uncatalogued Datasets on the mainframe were FTPed to distributed systems and we worked off these datasets without accessing the Mainframe directly. Around 1.2 million DAF files were processed from these datasets. The process was executed through remote access on customer provided Windows servers.

The migration was performed using Data Strategies proven offline document migration process and platform. This offline methodology without using API allowed better performance than online migrations and without hindrance to customer’s daily activities. It took only a few weeks to extract 5 TB of data using this process..
