Laserfiche Migration to Docuware

Data Strategies Interchange today reported on the successful completion of  Laserfiche migration to Docuware Archive for Toshiba Business Solutions.

The Town Clerk’s office had been using a LaserFiche system for digitizing and managing documents. The Laserfiche legacy system was running on a Windows server, utilizing Microsoft Windows data disk storage for archiving their documents and reports.

Data Strategies worked closely with Toshiba Business Solutions of Rochester, who was responsible for implementing and configuring the customer’s new Docuware archive. For facilitating the ingestion of the legacy documents into Docuware, Data Strategies Interchange delivered all documents and the associated metadata indexes in a format compatible with Docuware ACTIVE IMPORT. The Laserfiche document migration process involved migrating approximately 1 TeraByte of data and the associated metadata.

The Laserfiche migration project was successfully performed at the Data Strategies Interachange’s secure facility in Houston, TX using its proven large scale offline document migration process. Offline migration is a process where Data Strategies Interchange performs the large scale migration optimized for best performance independent of end client’s hardware and without hindrance to their daily activities. The data is shipped to DSI and migration is performed on DSI’s hardware optimized to perform the large scale migration at faster rates.
