IBM SEA TRMS Report Conversion to OpenText VistaPlus

Data Strategies Interchange is pleased to announce the successful completion of IBM SEA TRMS Report Conversion hosted on IBM z/OS to the format ready for ingesting into OpenText VistaPlus. DSI has further expanded its document archive migration capabilities by adding a new legacy format: IBM partnered SEA TRMS to its wide range of legacy archive formats.

The customer had only one support person for the TRMS system with limited back end processing knowledge which led to this conversion process. They had approximately 47 Million TIFF documents with total size of 37 TB.

IBM SEA TRMS Report Conversion was executed through remote access on customer provided Windows servers. Data Strategies’ proven proprietary off-line document migration platform known as Document Genie was used to extract documents and metadata from TRMS System hosted on IBM z/OS environment. Offline migration is a process where DSI performs the migration optimized for best performance independent of end client’s hardware and without hindrance to their daily activities.

DSI has over 30 years of experience with media conversion and data migration services. We have developed unique tools and processes to perform the migration of text and image documents archived by most legacy systems to newer document archive systems.
