PRESS RELEASE

IBM CMOD Migration for Leading Life Insurance Group

Data Strategies Interchange (DSI) is proud to announce the successful completion of a large-scale IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) Data Extraction & Migration project on the Windows platform for a major Life Insurance Group.

The client relied on CMOD to manage and archive reports across multiple document types for nearly a decade. As part of this IBM CMOD Migration, DSI extracted approximately 15.7 TB of archival data, representing over 30 years of historical information stored on NAS file shares.

This complex IBM CMOD Migration project involved the extraction of 323 million documents comprising 1.4 Billion Index records, which were successfully prepared and ingested into the target OpenText ApplicationXtender (AppEnhancer) environment. DSI’s proven migration expertise ensured data integrity, performance optimization, and seamless transition throughout the process.

The IBM CMOD Migration was executed using Data Strategies’ proven offline document migration platform, eliminating the need for APIs. This offline approach delivered superior performance compared to traditional online migrations and ensured zero disruption to the client’s daily business operations.

All migration activities were securely performed via remote access on customer-provided Windows servers, aligning with enterprise security and compliance requirements.

With deep expertise in IBM CMOD Migration services, DSI continues to help enterprises modernize legacy content management systems and transition to modern archive platforms efficiently and securely.
