Data Strategies Interchange is pleased to announce the successful migration from Datawatch BDS (also known as Monarch RMOD, INSCI COINS, COINSERV, or ESP+Archive) archive to IBM Content Manager. The data was delivered in a way that allowed for ingestion in IBM Content Manager/Content Foundation.
The customer, a provider of quality home building materials & products, had been using Datawatch BDS for archiving Scanned Image, Text files, AFP, Line data, and Metacode format.
The Datawatch 8.1.3.0 Legacy Archive was hosted on a VM Ware Unix AIX 5.3 system.
The client had 46 GB of archived report data stored on the hard disk which had 3 million documents. The formats (Scanned Image, Text files, AFP, Line data, and Metacode) were all converted to PDF.
The migration from Datawatch BDS was executed at Data Strategies’ secure facility in Houston, TX using our proven proprietary off-line document migration platform known as Document Genie. Offline migration is a process where DSI performs the migration optimized for best performance independent of end client’s hardware and without hindrance to their daily activities. The Customer provided a copy of the legacy data to DSI on an encrypted USB drive.
