Migration from DataWatch BDS to IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).

HOUSTON, TX, Dec 16, 2016 -- Data Strategies Int’l, Inc. today reported on the completion of a document archive migration project from DataWatch BDS to IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).

The customer, a large leasing company, had been using DataWatch BDS (also known as Monarch RMOD, INSCI COINS or ESP+Archive) for archiving PDF documents and line data reports related to its operations. The legacy system was hosted on a Sun Solaris server and used a proprietary non-SQL database for storing document metadata.

The migration was performed via remote access on customer supplied Windows servers, using DSI’s proven off-line document migration platform. The project involved processing from some 500 customer supplied magnetic repositories.

Some 90 million report files (text and PDF) with a cumulative size of 3 TB were extracted and delivered in the CMOD generic indexer format. We enjoyed working in close cooperation with ImageTech Systems to develop the details of the mapping and import specification.
