Migration from IBM ImagePlus to Hyland Onbase

HOUSTON, TX, August 5, 2015 -- Data Strategies Int’l, Inc. today reported on the completion of a document archive migration project from IBM ImagePlus to Hyland Onbase.

The customer, a US state agency, had been using IBM ImagePlus under z/OS for archiving scanned images and computer generated documents related to its operations.

The legacy system was hosted on a z/OS Mainframe and used the OAM storage manager for object storage in a DB2 database.

The migration was performed using remote access to customer hosted Windows migration servers employing Data Strategies’ proven off-line document migration software.

The project involved extracting OAM object segments from the mainframe hosted DB2 database to Windows disk – for further processing into complete documents.

The documents, in TIFF, IOCA and PTOCA format were converted to the PDF format.

Approximately 12 million documents and associated metadata were delivered using the Hyland Onbase Document Import Processor (DIP) format.
